Crooked Billet Run-5K Race & 5K Health Walk  -  Saturday, October 22rd, 2011 – 9:30AM

Warminster Community Park

On Saturday, October 22nd, 2011, The Craven Hall Historical Society, Inc held its 16th annual Crooked Billet Run – 5K Race & Health Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run.

This annual event commemorates the Revolutionary War Battle of Crooked Billet on May 1st, 1778 and Warminster Park is hallowed ground as it was part of the retreat route of the American militia during the battle.

The 2011 event featured 80 runners/walkers and each was provided with a commemorative “T” shirt as well as prizes for participants in over 11 categories. Category winners and race times can be accessed on our race timer’s web site. Pretzel City Sports.com.

Our annual Crooked Billet Run supports the many education programs offered by the Society and we are indebted to our business sponsors for their support. – Ann’s Choice, Fulton Bank. PECO, O’Neil Buick, Viriva- Community Credit Union, Abington Health Systems- Warminster Campus and Maintenance Management Services.

The 17th annual Crooked Billet Run – 5K Race & Health Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run is scheduled for Saturday, October 20th, 2012. Particpants can pre-register at the Ivyland 5K Race in August 2012 or on- line at Active.com (After September 1st-, 2012). Registration Forms will also be available by calling 215-675-4698 or writing to the Society at P.O. Box 2042, Warminster, PA 18974.

 

2011 HOLIDAY TEA
Sunday, December 4th - 3:00PM to 5:00PM

Our annual Holiday Tea was held on December 4th with 48 persons taking part in this festive event. Warm tea, great food and conversation were shared by all in a Victorian era setting.
